As you enter Rainbow Express Studio, you will likely be greeted by a sweet pug named Stitch. The owner, Raymond, thinks of Stitch as the store mascot and mini guard.
In the 1990s there were 18 photo studios across San Francisco Chinatown. Today, there are only three. To be in a business that has declined so drastically over the past couple of decades, you need extreme passion and skill. Raymond conducts all of his work with extreme professionalism and efficiency.
Raymond studied and worked in Germany for 20 years before moving back to San Francisco in 1993 to carry out his father’s business. He brought his artistic abilities back with him from the Düsseldorf School of Photography. This school has artistic standards that are famous around the world. Raymond opened his own workshop to explore the ever changing trends of photography in different forms of medias and perspectives.
Raymond specializes in portraits. He adds his own twist that are unlike well-known styles. He adds tender feelings to the clarity of the image.
The studio is efficient and effective. Raymond always works hard and quickly to ensure that you receive the service you need. For example, he takes numerous passport photos for his clients. The process is quick and easy! He first sets up the light and takes the photo. Then he confirms the photo is to the client’s liking. Lastly, he is able to edit the photo and print it out; the whole process can take less than ten minutes!
Raymond’s work is always the highest quality, and he finishes the great work in a timely manner.
